Manfrotto Mvh500-755cx3 Tripod Noir

Purchased the tripod to use for video with Nikon Z6. Nice simple fluid pan and easy leveling.

Great quality esp for the price! Quick release works great, fluid head is smooth as silk. But I have noticed vertical slippage on telephoto in all but high-end sticks. I might need to do a better job balancing the camera but thats not always possible in run-and-gun situations.

Honestly a wonderful tripod! Its sturdy, hefty, and great quality. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it came with a few scratches. Two were on the pivot ball, which connects to the head. The other scratch was on the leg of the tripod near the foot. None of these scratches affect the functionality, only the aesthetic. I only wish I got a non-scratched product for the price I paid. Otherwise, it would definitely be a 5-star product. Would recommend!

I always used Manfrotto tripods, but this particular one did not impress me. The head is great but the legs proved to be a disaster. Recently I purchased this item and one of the leg felt (a segment of a leg) on the very first job! There was a missing screw and nothing that can hold that segment in place. The leg felt while I was in location filming..and you can imagine the embarrassment. I tried to re-screw it back..but it still does not work. Very disappointing.

This particular model is the perfect intersection of price, weight and portability, and functionality for smaller cameras. The sideways plate release is perfect for run and gun type shooting when you need to quickly switch between tripod and handheld. The aluminum material feels slightly bulky, but I guess that's why you'd pay more for the carbon fiber version.
