working good. same complaint i have seen from others, something about the case makes mechanical drives very noisy.

I needed a Synology to be able to sync with my customer's Synology NAS devices. I know there are cheaper and/or more customizable NAS devices out there, but I needed something that I knew would sync the data in a secure fashion. I like the built-in data encryption. The Synology app store is a nice must have. I do not have to worry about compatibility.

My first NAS system for home use and as a Plex server. Super easy to set up and get running and has been solid since day 1 populated with Seagate IronWolf drives. Highly recommend for home use especially for a first timer on a NAS system.

Easy to set up, easy to upgrade, pretty fast to rsync data over SMB even on gigabit. Can also support services like Plex through DSM.
