I decided to upgrade and all I can say it is an awesome camera. My football pictures are getting so much better. I love it and the more I use it, the better I get.

I have yearned for many years to be the proud owner of a Canon 1 Dx body. As soon as the 1 Dx Mark II became available at a significantly lower price, I put in my order for one. I received my order just a couple weeks ago, and I am blown away by quality and versatility of this camera. This may truly be the last digital camera that I will ever purchase. With all the bells and whistles on this Canon, it will take weeks, if not months, for me to learn how to use all of the many features that the camera offers. The user manual is 563 pages long. I am a now retired professional portrait and wedding photographer. My only regret in purchasing this camera is that I did not have feel financially secure enough to make the purchase when the camera first became available. If you do not currently own Canon 1Dx body, you need to grab one of these while they are still available! You will thank yourself for having done so.

I have had some issues with the shutter pausing when firing using the high speed option. It caused me to off frame a couple of shots.
