Le Canon EOS R1 est un appareil phare avec une qualité de fabrication exceptionnelle, des performances ultra-rapides et un viseur électronique impressionnant. L'autofocus est encore amélioré, surtout pour le sport, et la batterie dure longtemps. Cependant, l'appareil est lourd, très cher et offre peu d'avantages supplémentaires par rapport à la R3 pour la plupart des photographes. Seules les cartes CFexpress sont prises en charge, ce qui limite la flexibilité. L'autofocus est moins performant sur les peaux foncées et la plage dynamique est limitée lors de retouches poussées. Pour les pros du sport, c'est un excellent choix, mais il existe de meilleures alternatives pour les autres.

A true game changer. I was in a dilemma from moving from a DSLR to a mirrorless body. I am absolutely delighted I did. This camera body is a real game changer. Anyone who is familiar with a DSLR will have no problem getting used to this body. It is comfortable in the hand and no heavier than a DSLR. The functions are superb for both stills and video. The pre-shoot facility is truly amazing, especially in wildlife photography. Some people would argue that this camera body is geared to the Sports, news reporter, However, this camera body is great for wildlife photography. Auto focus is fast and tracking of the subject is superb.

This Canon R1 is a complete game changer. It is a real powerhouse for photography and covers any discipline. This Canon R1 is aimed towards the sports, action , media styles of photography. It is a really impressive camera and will most certainly make your photography move to a higher level. Just perfect for my wildlife photography.

I purchased the R1 eight months ago and have been extremely happy with the camera. Prior to purchasing it I was a little concerned about the resolution as I also owned an R5 and R5 II, to my surprise the IQ of the R1 was better than either R5. To my eye the images are sharper than either R5, possibly due to the new anti-aliasing filter. Even deeply cropped the images still hold their own compared to the 45 Mp R5s. Everything else on the camera, handling, viewfinder, memory card slots and focus speed are far superior. I have since sold the R5s and use the R1 as my only camera
