Le Canon EOS RP est un appareil photo hybride plein format accessible particulièrement adapté aux débutants grâce à son fonctionnement intuitif et sa forme compacte. Avec une résolution de 26.2MP et un autofocus avancé, il offre de bonnes performances pour la photographie quotidienne. Cependant, l'appareil photo accuse un retard notable par rapport au Sony A7 III en termes de plage dynamique et de performance ISO, particulièrement dans des conditions d'éclairage difficiles. La vidéo 4K est gravement limitée par un recadrage lourd et un autofocus moins avancé. I've had almost a year and managed to take over 1600 photo's which detailed enough to crop without losing definition. I had to buy a spare battery as the supplied battery runs down faster (plus I switched off the energy saving). The supplied lens covers a good range of subjects but focusing lock switches off mid shoot.

Canon EOS RP captures lovely images using its full-frame sensor, and the body design manages to be small but still pleasant to use. There’s plenty to like about it - but it’s also got its fair share of niggles that make it frustrating at times.
