The price of the Leica SL3-S puts it out of contention for the average shooter, and its minimalist design and control layout looks beautiful but requires some learning and a good memory for which controls you’ve set up for which functions. This is also a heavy camera to lug around when you attach one of Leica’s lovely but weighty SL lenses; however, one look at the SL3-S’s output, and its still images in particular, could sweep all your objections aside in an instant. These are perhaps the best images you will ever see from a 24-megapixel camera.
