Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5 II + 12-60 mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH

The GH5 II adds a fewer feature enhancements to one of the strongest stills/video cameras on the market. Autofocus is improved but is still a weak point for 24p video capture, taking the gloss of what's otherwise a superlative video camera. Excellent image stabilization and a broad range of video support tools still make it one of the strongest options for 4K shooting under $3000.

Good Points: Viewfinder is brilliantly clear in all lighting. Bought this for wedding videos, but equally good for wedding photography. I have the gh5 mk1, but I love this mk2, quality of video & photos is superb.

It delivers good overall video quality in 4k and has fantastic internal recording capability, with the ability to record 10-bit 4:2:0 4k footage at up to 60 fps. It also offers a ton of different video recording formats and file sizes. Its menu system is well laid out, and the camera has a full set of inputs and outputs to connect an auxiliary microphone, headphones, or an external HDMI recorder. Its autofocus system is only satisfactory, and its low-light performance is a bit worse due to its smaller sensor.
