Le Sigma FP L offre un capteur impressionnant de 61MP dans un boîtier très compact et léger, idéal pour ceux qui recherchent une résolution maximale sans poids. L'appareil propose de nombreux profils de couleur créatifs et reste relativement abordable pour ses spécifications. Les principaux inconvénients sont l'absence d'obturateur mécanique, qui peut provoquer du rolling shutter, et l'absence de stabilisation IBIS, ce qui rend le flou de mouvement plus probable à haute résolution. L'autofocus est lent et peu adapté à l'action, et l'ergonomie est limitée sans accessoires supplémentaires. L'autonomie et l'absence de second slot carte sont aussi souvent critiqués. Le FP L est donc surtout adapté à la photo statique et au studio, moins à l'action ou à la vidéo à main levée.

Pros: (1) Very nice screen, for a fixed LCD screen. (2) Very functional controls, for the room available on such a small camera. (3) Very high image quality for a 24MP sensor. (4) Surprisingly strong color science. (5) Straightforward and powerful color/tone settings for JPEG.

Good Points: Image quality, controls, build, weight, and lots more positive features that are subjective. Improvement Points: Lcd screen useless in bright light. Menu takes a bit of getting use to

The SIGMA fp L is decent for studio video. It delivers satisfactory video quality in FHD and 4k, with particularly good low-light capability in FHD. Its menu system is very simple and easy to navigate, and it has a clean HDMI output, so you can connect an external recorder without overlays. It has a microphone jack and comes with a hot shoe attachment to mount a mic or external flash, though it can make some inputs harder to reach. You can also use the USB-C port to connect an external SSD, allowing it to record video with 12-bit 4:2:2 color depth, useful for videographers who prefer to work with larger, higher-quality video files.
