AMONG THE BEST AVAILABLE, USE IT ON ALL MY CANONS WITH THE VERTICAL GRIP ATTACHED. I ALSO USE IT WITH OTHER CAMERAS LIKE THE PANASONIC LUMIX CAMERAS, ALSO WITH VERTICAL GRIP.UNFORTUNATELY PANASONIC DOESNT PROVIDE HAND STRAPS FOR ITS CAMERAS. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE.

For years Ive switched between a hand strap like this which holds the camera welded to your hand, and a simple strap which catches the camera if it slips out of your grip. I prefer this kind, as it seems a bit more protective and less fatiguing on your hand. But, I find it difficult to adjust. Get it tight enough to work as designed, and my shutter finger does not fall on the shutter. I have to cramp up my fingers a bit, or set it a little looser - which somewhat lessens the protection. And these have no type of quick release so they take a little time to remove. This product is excellent quality, so its a good option if these work for you. I just recently switched back to this one from a simple strap, so perhaps with more time Ill adjust to its use. To sum up, you must decide if this type of strap works for you. If it does, this is an excellent one to try.

Ive been thinking about getting a new hand strap for a while, but wasnt crazy about the cost. I bought a new 5DIV with a battery grip and felt the hand strap would help with the added size of the camera and grip together. I was right! I feel more secure holding onto the camera and there isnt any hand strain. I like the Canon strap, because it gives me the versatility of using it with my grip and not having to screw into the tripod socket. Its comfortable and worth the cost, to me. Im very happy with it!

It is my second hand strap from the Canon. I have been using the same strap for years and I like the sense of security it provides. It is easy to install the strap, it does not obstruct an access to the battery compartment and accept easily tripod heads. The only problem I had with this strap after these years of usage was that I was not able to remove it from my first camera (the big plastic wheel on the screw head is nice to operate by hand, but it is impossible to effectively use any tools - like pliers - if over-tighten or stuck in rust), so I ordered a new one.

After trying other straps from Peak/design and other brands, I finally find that the Canon strap is just perfect in every way. I order more for my other cameras.
