Although I rarely need the reserve of two batteries, the convenience of holding the camera vertically is a welcome addition.

Wanted this grip ever since I got my 6D Mark II. Ample power for all day shooting. I have large hands and this grip makes the camera much more steady in my hands. Works with one battery or two. The extra shutter release button for vertical use is very nice. No problems whatsoever.

Having a battery grip for my cameras is essential to me. It makes shooting easier and allows me to focus on getting the shot.

Makes the camera bulky to pack for travel. I tend to take it off it wanting to travel light. Otherwise I find the battery grip great for comfort and having the second battery I dont have to worry about battery life for the day.

If you have time to change batteries, and no event requires you this much batteries, I wouldnt recommend to buy this grip, for I find it useless, at least for me. Havent had the urge to use it, if only, just to impress clients maybe? If thats your thing.
