we have several wifi routers around the house and ive tried various brands. They all kept falling over and needed resets which was very frustrating. I replaced all of them with these apple Extremes, because reviews said they were more stable. I bought 7 from memory. One keeps going wrong and i believe was faulty from day one. the others are very reliable although they are not particularly fast. For reliability, i believe that they are worth the high price tag.

Purchased to use with a DRAYTEK V130 Vigor 130, and both replacing the awful NETGEAR D7000-200UKS Nighthawk. The setup has been absolutely rock solid. Highly recommended!

Even though this was launched in 2013, it's still an excellent access point. 802.11ac and plenty of bandwidth for most people's needs. Clever form factor, superb range. Quick to setup and the management apps are slick. Works well with more than one together in a hub and spoke topology.
