I used this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I have always slipped one ear cup off when reading and finally got tired of having it behind me and the audio leakage. This really does a great job and provides me with a natural feeling when reading scripts for doing voice overs. I get a real sense of the sound.

i used another brand for about 8 years. didn't dawn on me that i could get something this good. i find i get better on tune vocals using a one-sided ear-phone. comfortable and it does the job. this is the top of the line.

I am deaf in one ear and this phone(s) is perfect for listening to the full spectrum of a recording when one ear is impaired and stereo is not an option. Quality, flat, sound with no appreciable bias. It looks a bit "plain Jane" when compared to modern (flashy) designs but it is a real winner sonically. Comfortable for long listening and ruggedly built. The Germans got this right. I'm surprised that there are not more similar products, especially considering the number of seniors with compromised hearing. Not just for DJs and studios; this is a must for one eared audiophiles.

I have bought this mono headphone for myself a few years ago because I have to hear my natural voice or I cannot pitch correctly. It works well for me to minimize music leakage into the vocal track. I am also surprised to find many singers asking to use this for their recording session. As far as I know, Beyerdynamic is the only brand making this sort of mono headphone. I cannot compare this to another manufacturer because I am not really hearing the full stereo reproduction. It is quite comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
