Le Sweet Protection Looper MIPS TE est un casque de freeski et d’all-mountain qui reprend de nombreuses technologies de modèles haut de gamme, comme le Mips et les Impact Shields in-mold pour un meilleur niveau de protection lors des impacts rapides ou obliques. Il est apprécié pour son poids relativement faible, son intérieur moelleux et la molette de réglage pratique qui permet d’ajuster facilement la tenue à différentes formes de tête. Les aérations fixes et les canaux intégrés pour le masque offrent un bon flux d’air et limitent la formation de buée, au prix toutefois de l’absence de fermeture totale lorsque les températures deviennent très basses. Les oreillettes amovibles et prêtes pour l’audio facilitent l’ajout ultérieur d’un kit audio, mais ces modules ne sont pas fournis d’origine. Avec son design sobre, ses atouts en matière de sécurité et son orientation park/all-mountain, ce casque constitue un choix intéressant pour les riders confirmés, même si son tarif dépasse celui des modèles d’entrée de gamme sans Mips et que sa construction ouverte de classe B couvre moins bien les oreilles et la mâchoire qu’un casque full-shell.

This is the best "entry-level" helmet I've ever used. This helmet is comfortable, lightweight, and the vents offer a nice mix between warmth and breathability. The back-band tightening mechanism is easy to adjust and sets this helmet apart from its competitors in the "entry-level" space.

This and previous model of Looper helmets are just odd in their fitment - never had any brand fit like this. I'm in the XL and chart states my head is at the lower-end of the range (as expected, should be plenty of adjustment available) but even one or two clicks of the boa system tightened makes it feel far too tight at the sides and (oddly) top of the helmet. It feels like there's a flat spot rather than a dome shape at the top of the helmet. Tried various fit-pads included for both this model and non-MIPS Looper but nothing worked. Apparently my head doesn't work with the Sweet Protection human head schematic which is strange. Can't imagine I'm the only one (Smith, Giro, Arai, Cannondale, Glade, etc never had an issue like this with). Too bad because it's good looking, lightweight and decent feature-set. Hope it works for your head!

We love Sweet Protection. Note they run a little smaller than other brands so we get a little bigger size.
