Suunto Boussole

For orienteers or other racers, running with a compass means attaching it to your thumb, where you can easily reference your direction with a map. GearJunkie founder Stephen Regenold uses this SUUNTO AIM-6 NH ($80) during his frequent orienteering and adventure races.

I hade Suunto mc-2, but I have recently sold one, because quality is bad. I bought a Silva compass!

I owned two Suunto Clipper compasses. Both popped out of their case without any reason (no external forces), fell and I lost them. Having said that, I never lost the case, that I always kept attached to my pack, to make sure I wouldn't lose the compass, how ironic, right? I don't recommend buying this compass as you will end up losing it. It works great, but what is the use of a compass if you loose it?

It was great to start off, then developed a bubble. It is ~13mm or ~0.5 inch in diameter. It is so large, it pushes the needle. I have not mistreated the compass in any way. I have photos, which I would post if I could.
