HSM Shredstar X5 - Déchiqueteuse de papier

Item has been sent with a continental plug I am going to have to buy a travel adaptor to use it.

I can only assume that the people that have rated this shredder poorly have tried to put too much paper through it at once. Knowing the propensity of shredders to jam, I think it sensible to put fewer sheets of paper than the maximum through the shredder. As such, we have had no issues with the shredder. It has comfortably dealt with the paper, and has done so much more quietly than our previous shredder. All in all, its a great shredder!

I have this plugged in all the time and switch it on and off as required. Please ignore all negative reviews. If you use this shredder correctly, it will perform brilliantly for you. Best product I have bought recently. The basket doesn't need to be emptied often (if you're only using it for small tasks). I chose this one at a slightly higher price because I didn't want black or grey. Fantastic!

I wanted a white shredder and this was just about the only one going. Absolutely the best thing about it is the noise level in use. It's several magnitudes quieter than a similar Fellowes shredder I've got. It's so much nicer not having your eardrums assaulted every time you just want to shred a few pieces of paper. I also prefer having a separate shredder slot for CDs and credit cards.

I haven't used it too much, as I'm more of a binge cleaner but so far, so good. I used it a lot for about an hour last night - not running all the time but shredding as I sorted. It seemed to do just fine. It's a good size, bigger than your average waste paper bin. The colour goes well too.
