Bought this for my laptop, after all this time with no issue it has begun to show signs of failure. I can read off the drive, but its failing to write data for me now. I do not reccomend (for long term use). The performance is okay its not really fast as it is running at sata 3 speeds, noticed my got warm during data transfers. If you do buy please initialise the drive otherwise windows will not see it. (if youre using it as an external drive) If you need extra storage for games i suggest you look at another ssd.

I recently restored a 2011 laptop to optimal performance with the combo of 2x DDR3 8xGb ram chips, and this SSD drive both read perfectly fine, the older Machine now operates like one of the latest models. Definitely a good buy!
