La Forza may not be with even very many opera fans. Infrequently performed and not as generally well known as some of Verdi's other works, it nonetheless provides a huge canvas on which the composer can paint his typically elegant melodies. This beautifully sung and artfully conducted production may help to make La Forza a more recognized part of the operatic repertoire.
