Hoya HD 72mm Filtre polarisant circulaire

I like to have a good polarizer for all my lenses. Hoya makes good quality glass. This polarizer has a natural rendering which is nice and not over the top.

The best thing about this filter is that it works as advertised. That claim is that filter resists finger prints. Magically thats what it does. You can put finger prints on it if you really, really try, but for normal everyday handling, it remains virtually finger print proof.

This filter is excellent. The metal ring is very solid and its rotation mechanism is very sturdy and smooth, so it is easy to adjust it to get exactly the effect you want. Just be careful to use it with step-up rings, as it is difficult to separate them due to its slim profile, I had to use a pair of filter wrenches to do it. Regarding the polarizing effect, I got very good results using it to eliminate glare on the sea surface.

I am using the Filter for my landscape photography. Really helps with clouds and blue skies.

With nine cagillion polarizing filters on the market and not up on the latest coatings lingo I went on the B & H chat line for help. I have purchased Hoya filters in the past which helped me at least decide on a manufacturer. The B & H representative made a knowledgable recommendation. The polarizer is extremely well made and doing everything it was designed to do. Vivid sky color and reflection killer for non metallic surfaces.
