Ive only had it a month and its not working anymore. I used it to play videos on my laptop and it just stopped working. dont reccomend.

Will not work on a new computer with windows 11, will not read mini-dvd format. Otherwise im sure its fine.

With the external CD/DVD drive and the USB Hub I can now listen to my CDs as well as use multiple thumb drives.

Yes my husband still makes cds which is the reason I purchased this. And I endorse this item . He makes a cd every day for his car and mine which i typically use my phone but when he makes a cd thats what played period, if he was at home at this moment Im 99 percent sure he would give a 10 out of 10. ❤️❤️

I have a HP Pavillion PC with a defective optic drive. It plays and rips well, but sees certain CD-R recordings I made as blank discs, and it will not burn CDs properly. Rather than spend a fortune repairing or replacing the optic drive on my PC, I decided to try this HP external drive. Everything works perfectly--synced instantly with legacy media player. Buns, rips and plays all types of disc formats. Highly recommended to pair with other HP PC's and laptops. Plugged right in (USB port in back of PC) and took care of all my optical drive needs.
