My previous identical model went faulty so I replaced it with an identical model. That says a lot about how good the toaster is. My only gripe is that when they fail they cannot be easily repaired.

I bought the KitchenAid Artisan Pistachio 2 Slot Toaster and, leaving aside the beautiful design and colour, what really surprised me were the small smart features that are not always obvious from the product description. The bread lowers and rises slowly by itself, without needing much interaction, unless you choose to force it manually. When you place bread in the toaster, it detects it automatically and lowers it for toasting. Once the selected time is finished, the bread rises slowly and automatically. Another feature I really like is that, after around 45 seconds of inactivity, the toaster lowers the bread again to keep it warm. Smart! It may sound like a luxury feature, but it actually makes the whole experience feel much more natural and smooth. Most importantly, it toasts evenly and works exactly as expected. Overall, I’m very happy with it.

KitchenAid is a bit pricier than some brands. But I always find them an excellent investment. Makes great toast and toasties!
