Yamaha TRBX304 Black

Very nice looking finish in red, with tons of options for a wide range of tones. Plays well with a relatively flat, narrow neck and the frets were decent and pretty level with smooth ends. The bass & treble boosts are quite powerful so I tend to keep them pretty mid level. The EQ switch fwlt like a bit of a gimmick at first but I do use it now to quickly change between tones.

First “proper” bass for my daughter. As a bass player myself, I was looking closely, it came set up out of the box, only a slight tune required, intonation was spot on. The thumb locks on the pickups are a nice tough, lovey low action. Frets were finished well and no buzz. The paintwork is very good and the switching gear seems to be good quality. The only thing I can find is the lack of rolling on the edge of the fretboard, it’s quite square, not uncomfortable but feels a bit strange in the hand when compared to the lovely edges on my Ibanez.

Can't truly answer all of these questions as I don't have the amplifier delivered yet. The guitar looks absolutely lovely but I need to hear what it sounds like..
