Brilliant. The most effective extractor hood we have ever found on the market. Also, the fact it's installed in a cupboard makes it quieter than one that's inside a metal funnel

This kitchen extractor has a very neat, slimline profile which pulls out to reveal the touch controls for the light and fan speeds. It ideally needs a 5" or 6" extract duct otherwise it can be noisy at full speed with a 4" duct. Performance is excellent. Pity that Bosch don't do a black version.

I’m really pleased with the Bosch Series 4 DFS067A51B telescopic cooker hood. It looks sleek in silver, feels solidly built, and—most importantly—does the job brilliantly. Suction is strong enough to clear steam and cooking smells quickly, and even on the higher settings it isn’t overly noisy. You can still chat in the kitchen without raising your voice, which I really appreciate. The only quirk I’ve found is that it seems to operate only when the slider is fully extended. If it’s not pulled out all the way, the fan won’t start—perhaps that’s how it’s designed, but it did catch me out at first. If that is intentional, a clearer note in the manual would help. Overall, a powerful, tidy-looking hood that performs well without sounding like a jet engine. I’d happily recommend it.

This extractor is so quiet, while working in the kitchen you hardly hear it which is a pleasure to say the least. It's controls are easy to use and totally unobtrusive. The mesh filters remove easily for washing in the dishwasher.

The fan is very quiet and effective. The installation was relatively straight forward but the spring loaded clips which hold the unit in place are very poorly designed. On examination, the spring action is provided by a single poor quality steel spring which will rapidly corrode in the warm/damp environemnt. The body of the spring is not captured and so it is easily buckled and misaligned especially by the two plastic fastening "bolts" which simply wind the spring a further 1/4 turn. Good example of a good design spolied by a "hapeth of tar". Two brackets with clips inside the housing would be far more effective.
