Scanner function is not available or visible from network computers. You must operator the scanner from the printer operator console. I spent three hours with HP Support while they tried every conceivable solution to this problem.

I bought the HP LaserJet M712DN and added this tray on. It worked instantly and was easy to configure the printer to use it in the many paper orientation or size that i wants.

This is the nicest printer that I've ever had, I love it. There are so many features on it, and the touch screen is extremely easy to use.
