Bought as a replacement for our Epson XP-800 bought in 2013 and which had produced excellent service as a printer scanner. We hope the XP-7100 will produce the same level of performance and it offers us the additional function of an additional slot for printing on thick card. Installing and updating software firmware took about an hour and was fairly straightforward. Print copy and scanning excellent.

If you're starting out as a photographer, then this printer is pretty good. Colours are vibrant, if you have good paper. I use the rear feed for thick photo quality paper and for printing on card. The internal tray is good for plain paper and sticker paper.

When it's working, it performs well. There is a concern where it fails to print and tells you the paper is wrong size, or doesn't match what machine setting. The paper did match and was correct size when measured. It seems that the paper guide requires very exact positioning On searching internet, this would appear to be a common problem/

If you just want to print documents or simple prints it’s ok but I brought it to print out 6x4images but it leave a mark on the paper as it pulls the paper through to print it so there is a indentation through the middle of every print so if you only using to keep for yourself as memories it’s ok but for anything else to do with printing photos or images for commercial usage then it’s no good!!
