Games Switch The Caligula Effect: Overdose Imp Clair

It plays like a far older game than it is, as it is a bit clunky. And the "skill tree" (Causality Link) system requires you to have generic conversations with over 100 NPCs. It is boring, it is tedious, and it is not engaging. Play the Persona series instead (P3, P4, or P5). This game is a wannabe Persona game, but poorly, poorly executed.

A wonderful update to an already great game! The combat system and overall gameplay are incredibly unique, intuitive, and fun! The story and characters heavily center around various traumas- making for a dark and interesting parallel storyline with you protagonist having the ability to assist both the “Good” Go-Home Club and the “Bad” Musicians. Now for the bad. Graphics are incredibly hit or miss on switch however and graphical glitches were semi prevalent. The side quest system, while vast and rewarding, is incredibly repetitive. If you purchase this game, find a guide as its tutorials are incredibly minimal and occasionally misleading. Overall, a wonderful experience, but if you care about graphics consider the PS4 version.

It's a little tiny bit like the Persona series....just a wee bit like it. People who like Persona should like Caligula Effect.

When the story hits its strong points, it can at least be thought-provoking, but the gameplay is where Overdose struggles the most.

This is by far one of the worst RPGs that I have ever played and I do not recommend getting it even if you are getting it for free. The most disappointing aspect of the game is that it should be good but it isn't. I look forward to the next project from the team who made this game but The Caligula Effect: Overdose should be left in the dark - alone and forgotten.
