Product arrived new and in good condition (with slower than usual delivery time due to Covid-19). This game is a delight. It follows the Lord of the Rings film trilogy, and allows players to play as all members of the fellowship, as well as others such as Bilbo, Elrond, etc. . Coop play is great, too, and it’s a blast to hack and slash your way through the story. They use dialogue from the films, but still add in some of their quirky LEGO humor. So far, I’ve really enjoyed it and feel as though it captured the essence of LOTR. It’s goofy and quirky, and they certainly take liberty, but they give you a lot more freedom to explore middle earth and iconic locations than other LOTR entries do. It’s good stuff.

Difficult to play or find any understanding of what needs to be done, especially if attempting two-player with the finicky somewhat-split-screen. Not an enjoyable experience.

It’s still a fun game. Lots to do. Tells the story about the same from the movie.

Love the gameplay, although I wish the world was a bit more open like the LEGO Hobbit game. Another nitpick is there isn't much ability to explore and they very much rush the cutscenes. I get these are long movies to adapt into a game mostly aimed at a younger audience but c'mon, you spend through Hobbiton like the Flash.

When there were many LEGO games coming out at the time, I was happy to play LotR. I'm a huge fan of the movies, including The Hobbit, and I've read all of the books. This game sticks true to the story line while adding the increasingly comical level of humor to lighten the mood. The levels weren't too hard and sometimes required you to think about what you need to do before you can move on. Free playing/roaming is so much fun, being able to explore all of the different locations of Middle Earth while also allowing you to accept quests and items to be retrieved for certain people, making sure you haven't finished the story line just to realize that there's nothing left to do. Overall, this is a great product and I would highly recommend to any Tolkien fan, Hobbit or otherwise. Creativity, comical relief, and action pack this go-to game at any time. Now fly, you fools! Fly to the check-out and buy this game because you won't be disappointed!
