I felt this was a good set. It could be used with other themes. I wish there was a few more minfigures in the set.

This is the first Lego Castle I've built In almost 20 years. It reminds me of older Castle sets from the 1980s. The build was very straight forward with easy to follow instructions. I really like the modular nature of the castle. The drawbridge and gate in the castle are easy to use. There is also a treasure room and catapult or two I think this would make a good starter Castle for a beginning builder. There isn't too much detail in the castle but it is a nice set with all the features I'd expect a Lego Castle to have. The set could have used more minifigures but I liked the figures included. You get the heroic King and his horse and two good guy soldiers. You also get a Dragon knight and two Dragon night soldiers. There is also catapult for the Dragon Knights. The castle has a lot of play value and I'd recommend it.

I have always wanted a Lego Castle set and I finally have one! I love this set and it has pride of place on my desk, complete with all the Castle mini sets laying siege around it. Some parts of the Castle feel quite flimsy during construction but once finished, it holds together well. Instead of stickers that have been used for detailing on the walls, it would have been nice to have different coloured and textured bricks. As others have said before me, more mini-figures would have been good. I would also like an opposing Castle set, to complement the individual smaller sets with the enemy knights.

This is a really good kit. It has numerous features which provide endless awesomeness to the set. It is very detailed and is easily accessible if you want to play with it. Pros: Dragon catapult function is cool Castle catapult is also cool 3 double sided heads White knight has a cool helmet Part of the wall able to be knocked down without wrecking the set Nice drawbridge/portcullis system King has nice little wine glass, gold goblet and gold sword Key fits in the door's keyhole SHINY GOLD PIECES! Cons: White knight's sword is a bit lame Drawbridge sometimes gets jammed King can't sit on the throne with cape Catapult and crossbow towers are inaccessible to minifigs.

I've just built it, it is smaller then other LEGO Castle, but I think there are more particular pieces then the last Kingdoms Castle. If I have to find something to improve and to create better Castle, in my opinion, I say that LEGO Engineers/Architects must try to develop more huge and heavy Castle, a good model could be the "Maschio Angioino" in Naples(Italy). Towers and walls could be more "defensive", higher and stronger. Also, more defensive artifacts to fight enemies. I also would suggest to the LEGO staff to think (and produce) also a Castle of the "enemy" side, like Red Dragon Castle, or Green Dragon Castle, etc. I think it could be a good buisness and a wonderful thing for us LEGO fan, a lot of us hope to have an "enemy" side Castle, to improve their collections and creating different Castle by different medieval soldiers. Anyway, I really like this new Caste and I hope to get other ones soon. Come on LEGO staff, work on it :) Good job
