I purchased this train set for my nephew and on arrival, although the box was immaculate and not tampered with and all the bags inside were sealed, there are pieces that are missing. Due to this, the train cannot be built completely nor does it work. Also, on contacting Amazon, they were unable or unwilling to assist me in any way. I do not recommend purchasing this item

I got this set for my 8 year old train fan. He has no trouble building it by himself. We are very disappointed because the motor is very weak and the train cannot navigate a turn on the tracks. It stops when it gets to the turn. We tried different brands of batteries. Thinking maybe they were not strong enough, but still the same issue. It cannot toe any of the cars. It will just stop moving. I am a very disappointed parent.

8 yr old had fun, but he is the type to dismantle these and so I felt it was too much money for only a handful of uses- now they sit in a box and my husband is too frustrated to set it up all over again! Aargghhh
