This train set is amazing! Such great detail on every part of it. Grandson had a blast building it and now is taking parts apart and building his own version is learning so much with it.

Great gift! The train came much faster than expected ... from Japan! The birthday boy loved it and even made a little movie showing it in operation.

This is my first Lego train and I love it. I was a little worried after reading some other reviews of the set but I have to say I have had no negative experiences. The train drives very well and is fun to build. I also purchased some extra track which has given the train a chance to stretch its legs which is handy because you can drive it even faster that way without derailing. I'm only sad it has been discontinued.

I bought this set for my sons 5th birthday. He loves legos and asked for a train. The train was pretty easy to build. My son did most of it himself with me watching and helping some of the time. The train was a lot bigger than I expected once built. It runs very good, but you have to use all of the track. We tried to make the track a little smaller to put on his train table but the train would only move on the straight track and then stop on the curves because the train is heavy, but once I moved it to the floor and used all of the track it runs perfect. It’s only been built for two days so I’m not sure of the battery life yet. It takes 9 AA batteries.
