Got this as a gift for a five year old boy. He loves it. He's obsessed with large trucks and street signs. He plays with it nearly every day. He'll decorate it with other parts, then build and rebuild dumpsters for it from other LEGO bricks he has. This set is a smaller, more minifig scale version of the LEGO Toy Story 3 Garbage Truck (Set #7599). It's a solid build with interactive lifting and dumping movements. It stands up to a lot of play!

We love this LEGO set. I'm not sure why, but my son has an infatuation with garbage trucks. As a result, this LEGO set has been an absolute hit at our house. With the front loading arm to the back container going up and down to dump the garbage, there is no shortage of moving parts with this awesome set. The orange color is a nice touch as well. The set comes with plenty of 'garbage,' which adds to the realism and overall playability. The two minifigs that come with this set are perfect and allow you to have a driver and a sweeper/loader. This set is retired now from LEGO and is no longer sold in stores, but if you can find this set for the retail price and/or slightly above, be sure to grab one. Gave this truck to a four year old for his birthday and he loved it! His mom said it was his favorite gift from the entire party (well...perhaps she says that to every gift-giver?). Guess I'll never know. ;) I would buy this item again as a gift. Pro tip...if you're buying for a child under 3 go with Duplo Legos. They're the bigger, fatter legos and they're easier for little hands to put together. My two+ year old son loves them.

If you are a lego fan & if you have a garbage truck fanatic, this is the perfect gift! I've purchased many garbage trucks for my little fan & this one is his favorite! I did modify the dumpster so it's contents didn't spill out at the mid-point. This Lego Garbage Truck is our favorite by far.
