This train set is by far the best train set I've ever owned! Building the train wasn't that hard and it runs really well. I think it's a great starter set for anyone who is getting into Lego trains. I'll definitely be getting more track to build a bigger layout and possibly some more Lego accessories as well. I highly recommend this train set.

This train has such potential.....however, we purchased it for a gift for our grandson and still do not have it running. Trouble with the power. Have been through the book 2-3 times and have taken it apart that many times. Still does not run. Next step is to take it ALL apart and start from scratch. Therein lies the hmmmmm.

When my son asked for a Lego train set for Christmas I cringed because I knew how expensive they are. We got this one on sale from Amazon and, although it was the cheapest one out there, it has been great. Maybe not for advanced or older Lego builders, but for a 3 and 5 year old (and their parents) it has provided hours of entertainment. We look forward to adding additional tracks and maybe a station later on but, for now, it has been well loved.
