I bought this Lego model for my grown up son for his 28th birthday . He loves everything to do with the Beatles,especially the Sergeant Pepper album. He really enjoyed making it he said and he will be displaying it on a shelf in his lounge along with framed photographs of the Fab Four. He emailed 3 photo's of the submarine to me and I think it looks great, really cheerful and fun . I particularly like the figures who are very realistic for brick men. I teased him about what his birthday present was , by telling him I saw one while I was on holiday in Switzerland but the shop was shut. I knew I would be able to buy one from Amazon. It was so easy to do. I ordered it online from my lap top at my home in the Irish Republic and had it sent direct to my son's address in England.

It's Lego and The Beatles. If you're reading this review that's probably all you need to know. Like all Lego it's sturdy and mostly well designed. Building it is easy, (personally I might have been a bit drunk when I built mine but still had no problems). If I have one gripe it's with the Jeremy Hilary Boob (Phd) figure. That thing is ugly. Maybe that's just in keeping with the film but still doesn't make it a pretty piece. I Think Old Fred would have been a better choice.

The product is a present and will not be opened for a few weeks, but we have other lego items and they are great. Only downside to this product was the exorbidant price!

Wish we'd got this before it went up from £50 to £63... However it's a quality set with some beautiful little touches like rotating propellers and the Fab 4 themselves, plus a little cabin under a flap for them to sit in. Both kids spent a happy hour on Christmas morning assembling it and it's now on display. Could be a bit cheaper, but had to have it and we are very happy with the set.

What can I say about the Yellow Submarine besides the fact is it's from Lego?? Comes in a pychicadellic box, inspired by the movie animators, comes with booklet with additional information about the product and it's creator. The bulid was entertaining with of course: The Fab Four with extra expressional faces and fits nicely on my shelf. This is great for Beatle fans.
