The set looks amazing! The Balrog is a little delicate while buding. I would reccomend you build the body, arms, legs and wings first then connect them all together at the end.

An overall fun build, some elements were slightly irritating to build because they kept falling off (the wing attachments to the structure, some of the fire elements on the structure and on the Balrog, etc) and it was relatively pricey for what you get. That being said, I enjoyed the build and don't regret the purchase.

Cost was restrictive, but I purchased it anyway. I was very disappointed in how flimsy the product was.

Bought when it was discounted, so saved £50, This set was an interesting build. My Lotr Lego collection so far consisted of minifigures, some old sets and the newest shire set, so building the architecture was a pleasant change. Completed , the set does seem smaller than I imagined looking at the box and online photos but it does look great on display. Where I’ve held off buying the larger Lotr sets due to their size at least it doesn’t take up a great deal of space. My one real gripe is that the balrog does keep slipping out of the attachments holding him to the pillars. Also, having seen a YouTuber alter this set, I’m going to make the neon flamed whip using flame pieces joined together for a more convincing weapon. Glad I bought it overall .

Maybe a little pricey for what you get - but I had a lot of fun with this build & it looks absolutely great. Very impressed with the design, for its size. Would absolutely buy again
