My son loved it. Got for his 5th birthday I had to help him a little bit for the most part he was able to put it together.

Let me begin by saying, Legos are awesome! As my kids are getting older (I have 3, ages 8, 9 & 13) it becomes a challenge finding sets that are challenging for each of their different skill levels My son (8) absolutely loves this set! His older sister really wanted to help him but he was determined to do this on his own! This is his first "big" set. The biggest set he has done previous to this was just under 500 pieces. He did have a little difficulty and asked for help but as soon as he got his answer he was solo once again! It took him about a week to complete and it is now proudly displayed on a shelf in his room! Happy kid, happy mom!!!
