This set did take our child a little while to build since there are quite a number of pieces. The instructions are very easy to follow and we usually make him do the set himself so that he can learn to get frustrated. He did have to stop and come back to it the next day as he was thinking it was taking too long. However, once he built it he was very proud of himself and surprisingly it is quite sturdy and has made many “missions” around the house. Overall another great LEGO set!

My eight-year old put together this set on his own, no problem. He is really happy with how all the pieces turned out. He especially likes the motorcycle. In my opinion, the colors are a little dreary--but then again, I'm not an eight-year old boy... For how many figures you get, I think the set is priced well. I have to commend LEGO, though, on always including the most easy-to-follow instructions. Man, they have that ish locked down. Between my husband and my three kids, I don't even know how many LEGO sets we've put together over the years. But we always have the pieces we need, and we know exactly how everything fits together. It's a beautiful thing.

Fun LEGO project, Set contains 569 lego pieces, includes three figures, weapons, crossbow shooter, spear and more. Is easy to moderate level in difficulty. Good for a beginner. Easy to follow directions. Can be played with once assembled. Nice ship, cool themed Lego set.

Don't be overwhelmed by the number of pieces, it's really not as intimidating as it appears. LEGO gives amazing clear building instructions piece by piece, so you've got this! and the end result is "so cool." As a parent, what I like most is the hands-on building accomplishment instead of being on electronics!

This is definitely a toy LEGO as opposed to a difficult, crafty kit, but it's solid. Directions are very easy to follow, and despite the number of pieces, this is a good kit for a first-timer or a younger LEGO player. The ship is solid when you build it, so it does hold up to frequent flights across the living room. There are some fairly unique pieces to this set, as well as a number of interesting body parts for the LEGO people.
