Great Lego Technic kit. Although specified for older children, my 7-year old grandson built it in one sitting, with only a minor problem. It features a linear actuator (to raise the arm), a worm-driven pinion (to dump the bucket), a worm-driven rack (to extend the arm), and a complex lever system (for 4-wheel steering). It is a great learning tool for mechanically-inclined builders.

bought this as a gift for our 12 year old son and he loved it...he has a few of these LEGO sets and really enjoys putting them together.
