We bought this for my 9 year old son for Christmas. I thought he could build it, but it was just a little too difficult for him, so I built it over a 2 day period. After it was complete, I was way beyond impressed on how it turned out. This crawler is absolutely amazing. I was quit surprised on what it could climb over. This crawler moves a little slow, but it makes up for it by on how nimble it is. I am thinking on trying to get one for myself. I would recommend 3 for every family.

My first LEGO purchase in a very long time, and well worth it. Comes in a huge box, with bags containing thousands of bits and pieces and THREE separate instruction manuals! Being a busy parent it took me six or seven hours to build over a few days, but felt totally engaged in the prrocess; never bored or just wanting it finished. Great fun to drive, with its massive chunky tyres it can conquer any living room floor plus associated obstacles that come with having two small children. Would make a fantastic present for anyone who enjoys complex technic sets, as well as anyone who likes off road radio controlled vehicles. Be warned though, it is called the 4x4 Crawler for a reason. Don't expect it to break any speed records or you will be disappointed.

Well my mom got this for me on my birthday. I got it when I turned 14. First off, the suspension is great. It's easily able to keep it up right when it's climbing obstacles, unless it's riding a wall or some thing, It rolls over on it's side, but that would happen to any truck. It also has good ground clearance. Though, under the axles, it's not too great because it can't go over a mini figure without knocking it over. I tried to make it go over my fist. The front wheel went over my fist just fine but the back wheel ran out of torque and couldn't get over. The crawler could really use locked differentials and the XL motors. Over all, this is a very enjoyable set and 1000 tons of fun! Keep it up, Lego.

I had a lot of fun in building this crawler from the technic's division. As excited as I was, I tried to contain myself and took my time in enjoying the process of putting it together. Let me say that this crawler looks amazing and the power to weight is well balanced. I can't stop trying to find more obstacles for it to climb over and with a little bit of patience and strategy, it goes over most of the obstacles with no problem. I hear a lot of people complain that the speed is too slow but it's a crawler so speed shouldn't be the issue. Actually I feel that it could use a little more torque if anything. Another thing that could consider improving on is grippier tires. Overall, the people in the technic division did a great job. Keep up the good work.
