This is certainly the best Desert Skiff LEGO set yet. This works both as a play set for the younger crowd and a nice collector set for us vintage buyers. The railing is a nice touch and the extendable plank is great. I would have swapped out Boba Fett for Luke, however, as it was he who was in the plank -- not Han. The level of detail is great and certainly a must for collectors. The Sarlac is a bit clunky, and unnecessary. The play features are clunky and it is not a pit but rather a hill. I would have liked to have see this deleted in favour of one or two more Minifigs. Otherwise a great set.

The build wasn't too difficult. I like the skiff with the hidden compartment and retractable plank. The Sarlacc, well I don't remember a mouth from the movie ;-) The mini figures are spot on, ACCEPT where is Return of the Jedi Luke? With one gloved hand and green light saber. I am a firm believer he should have been included in this set. No a bad, low cost set.

Its a good set the sarlack pit mouth could have been done differently. I didn't like how low the speeder sat, I had to modify it a little.

Very excited about this one hooray for Sarlaac. A great place to find all these characters especially Boba and the distressed faces of Han and Chewie. Looks good and maintains integrity. From the very memorable scene this is a must.

This set is so much fun, I bought it and then asked for it again for Christmas because the only thing better than one Desert Skiff is two. The updated minifigures are a HUGE plus! Though I miss the Lando Calrissian minifigure that was in the last version of this set, I wouldn't trade any of the minifigures in this one to have him added back in. It's great for adding to any Return of the Jedi collection or MOC! However, one thing that would have made it even better would have been if the sarlacc had a tongue (though it's not great feat of engineering to just add one yourself) since it's very obvious in the movies that it does indeed have one.
