Shure WH20XLR Headset Microphone

I bought this mic to enable me to do backing vocals whilst playing the keyboard. It sounds fine, picks up the vocals really well, and doesn't rely on either batteries or a wireless set up. You just plug it onto the mixing board like a conventional microphone, although you will need an additional xlr cable because the mic's cable is not very long. It is easy to adjust. It was easy to order on the GuitarGuitar website, the price (inc free delivery) was competitive, and an antipcated delay was notified to me straight away but in the end no delay occurred.

For the price I think the Shure WH20 xlr is a very good head mic. Although I have had some issues with the very thin cable I would recommend wholeheartedly.

I would have given 5 stars but have had a cable problem near the xlt plug. After using 2-3 times a week in and out of my bag for a year there must have been a break in the cable. I repaired it twice but eventually gave up and bought another. The cable is usefully flexible but, in my opinion prone to break.

The headset fits well and is comfortable. Picks up vocals well. Only criticism is the lead is a bit short to perform with when it goes direct to an amp. So a body pack or go full wireless?

Easy plug and play (sing). Cable could be a lot longer but easily extended with another mic XLR anyway. And it sounds pretty good.
