This lens will easily be my go-to everyday lens. The lens performs great, is totally silent and light weight.

Bought this lens for my wife to put on my old T2i for starters. Both her and I were quite pleasantly surprised by the image quality that she achieved with this on her first day out! Wonderful starter lens to say the least. Humm... I may use this as well as a backup for my Sigma 17-70 2.8-4! (When she's not looking.)

I just received this lens and there are dark spots on my pictures. I am not happy.

The Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM is a solid starter lens, but not one that you should buy at full price.
