Canon RF 70-200 mm f/4 L IS USM

Great for field sports (football, rugby, American football, hockey etc) f4 useful for indoor sports like gymnastics, boxing, basketball. At 200mm, may a bit short for motorsport or equestrian, but trying these later in the year.

Superb lens, great build quality and performance. I used the EF 70-200 f/4L for many years as my travel lens, and since upgrading to an R6 had to use it with an adapter. That slight inconvenience and the fact that the old lens was battered by use and the manual focus stopped working, made me go for an upgrade. So far, my experience of the RF 70-200 f/4 is excellent. Really looking forward to many more years of travel with my new purchase.

Autofocus performance is great its incredibly compact& lightweight Extremely fast ,stunning sharpness and great colours.

Thought long and hard about purchasing this lens. However, any reservations soon dispelled on receipt and after some testing. Picture quality is sublime and the one thing that keeps impressing me is how compact and lightweight this lens is. I own an EF 70-200 f2.8L II lens and that is a behemoth compared to this lens, and is a lens that I rarely use for that reason, particularly on the R5. The compact nature of this lens means that it will go with me virtually everywhere. Well done Canon. Very pleased with the purchase and Wex's service was as exemplary as usual.
