I've had this lens for a while and I've probably carried it in my gear bag on my occasions, but I rarely took it out...manual focus, etc. I just came back from a trip to Italy with my sister and friends, so I wasn't going to whip out the tripod, but all of the architecture was screaming for a shifted lens. I used this on a hand-held 5DMK4. I used the view finder to set up a rough framing of the shot. Then I used Live View to focus the lens when zoomed in at 10x. Then back to the view finder to use the built in level indicators to make sure the camera was as level as possible and squeezed off three or five bracketed shots. Photomatix, photoshop, etc. I'm happy with the results!

I bought the lens as a novelty only used it once and it locked up on me. Did some research and fixed it by loosening the screw that holds the knob. Put the lens away without over tightening, two years pass by, brought out the lens and the same issue. Apparently its a common issue. Lots of money with a small bug.

Tilt-shift lenses are great even when you don’t need them. I was a wedding photographer for many years and this was one of my FAVORITE lenses. Got so many cool shots with it. :)
