If youre ok with the large size and weight, and I guess you are or you wouldnt bellowing at MF to begin with, they youll probably like this lens. Sharp edge to edge. Very sharp wide open with only slight edge falloff. Build quality is very high. Image stabilization is very effective, but the associated bits that rattle around inside seem more noisy than usual. The lens hood is enormous. Its bigger than most lenses all by itself. I used a crummy cheap screw-in metal hood thats a lot shorter and it seems to be an improvement as long as you are careful about where the sun angle.

The GF 120 mm lens is solid and beautifully made ... and works like a charm. It is all it is made to be. I am very satisfied. After 53 years as a professional photographer, I believe I know at least something about these things. B&H made it easy, painless and quick. They are everything a business on the internet should be.

I purchase this lens from B&H to enter medium format. Mostly using it for product photography. The lens is extremely sharp from F5.6 through F22. Its resolution is fantastic: sometimes I hate the results because I have to remove quite a lot of tiny dust particles which are visible only on a big screen but not during the shooting. It's a top notch and must have lens for product photographer without any doubts.
