Laowa 15mm F4 Macro Canon

The lens was awesome. Just not what I was in need of. But it took beautiful pictures and was very sharp.

Not really a native Sony e-mount. It has an adapter bolted in permanently, adding over an inch in length. I decided not to open the package and return it. I didn't evaluate the optical quality. Too expensive for me for misleading dimension.

Challenging to use, wish it had 1:1 focusing an inch or two farther away, so that the lens doesn't shadow your subject, and bump/shake the whole bush that you are trying to stalk them in. Solid build, good quality images, very compact.

I have a lot of fun with this lens. I won't give the detailed review to the lens as it was done in multiple forums. Just a few words. The lens can take fantastic and very artistic photos. It is very sharp and it takes excellent wide angle images. My main interest was taking macro photos. It is very challenging because you basically focus blindly. It is possible to take 1:1 photos but your subject needs to be still. Everything that jumps, flies or moves fast is not accessible with this lens. I wish the focusing distance was a little farther away from the subject. It would give the lens more chance to approach the subject while taking macro.
