Great for a 2:1 on my Fuji X-T2 Great Lens for the money, I have the nikon mount version but its now on my Fuji X-t2 via a cheap adaptor. (Focus peaking works a treat) I have found that f11 @ 2:1 is the sweet spot at around 6cm away from the subject to the end of the lens which still gives you lots of DOF. Definitely a great dedicated macro lens with manual focus and aperture rings, If you do allot of detailed macro photography, you will find that you don't require AF and just lean to focus. You can see lots of samples on flickr if you are curious about the quality that this lens produces. Yes, the pricey fujinon XF80 macro is a lovely lens that also does portraits and has OIS But i don't need those functions for my macro photography.

Great macro lens, pity it wasn’t auto focusing, one other negative is if used at infinity vignetting is apparent. Capable of results equalling lenses considerably more expensive and only giving 1.1, not twice life size as with this lens.

I purchased this lens from the Venusoptics portal directly. The quality of the lens is very poor. I can feel and hear the sound of internal metallic plates moving when I try to rotate the magnification ring. If you still want to purchase then make sure you mount the supplied UV filter. Otherwise, as the lens barrel is open in the front, it will accumulate dust and may potentially jam the metal plates or make it harder to slide.
