Leica Summaron-M 28 mm f/5.6 Chromé

I had a chance to test this lens on an M10 during a Leica Walk event. This lens has a very sharp, yet subtle rendering with a character unattainable from any other lens, including from Leica. In comparison is the image from a Summilux 23mm/f1.7 on a Leica X-U, which is very sharp, yet has a harsh rendering.

I have used this lens now for a month, it has few stops but you can rarely go wrong, it makes brilliant classic pictures. It is a lens for catching atmospheres, painting with light.

Paired with my M6, this lens has been outstanding. It is so small and lightweight that it has been a joy to use.

It's hard to beat this lens for fun and for size! I love not having a big clunker on my M10. Small issue? The lens cap will not fit seamlessly over a filter. So, the filter is protecting the lens, but you won't find that extra sense of security by having the lens cap over the filter...as it just won't fit.
