It gives confidence to handle all lighting situations. The CA correction is done well and the optical aberrations are also well controlled. No complaints whatsoever.

This lens is amazing. No point buying an M and not having the right lenses Its not cheap but its Leica 100% you get what you pay for. I uploaded my my first Picture I took with the 21mm f/1.4 not a bad start I think.

this is probably my favorite leica lens.....and i have some good ones! use not so easy or a bit time consuming, as at times i find myself looking through the magnifying eyepiece, and then through the view finder for focusing. for architecture, landscape, and even street photography, i LOVE it. great picture quality. fast, compact, a beauty. those who have read my other reviews, see i seldom rate anything a 5 star. in this case, i oblige.

I'm fairly new to photoghraphy, but I like to spoil myself with good gear. I bought the M9 and just love everything about that camera. This lens is an absolute beauty. The best color rendition, crystal clear corner to corner. Vignetting is heavy from wide open to around f4 and then disappears completely at around f5.6 from what I can tell so far. I'm still learning where that cut-off is for the heavy vignetting. The build quality is second to none. Focus ring is a bit tight and requires a deliberate touch but I like that quality. I am continually awed by the quality of the images when I get back to the computer. Very sharp throughout all f-stops. If this fits your budget you won't be dissapointed. This is the best super wide angle I have ever used.
