Nikon Nikkor AF-S 24-70mm F2.8E ED VR

I purchased this -mm f. Nikkor to replace a traded in -mm f. Nikkor originally purchased in . Wow, things have moved on considerably. The old lens had a button to enable macro close focus. This new lens needs no button and focuses easily close enough. The zoom range is also a lot wider removing the need for mm and mm lenses. The VR capability allows hand held use in low light as an added bonus. I don't miss the aperture ring as I always use the body controls anyway. One very nice lens. Thanks guys.

Having owned the previous version this one is so much better and am getting more keepers

This lens replaced a 24-70mm lens that I have had for a number of years. Wanted to get the VR replacement. Love it.
