Got this lens as a Kit lens with my K1 Mark II, I have to say, its not that great. Everything comes out soft. I would love to return it but since its part of a kit, I cant without returning the entire package.

I got this this as a kit lens with my K1 Mark 2 and I have to say, it was quite a disappointment. The image quality from this lens is sub-par as everything is slightly soft. Id return if it could but that would require me to return the camera too which I dont want to do. Guess Im stuck with this.

I bought this to use as a general purpose , walk around lens. It fits the bill perfectly. Great image as well as build quality. I was considering the 24 ~ 70. I am extremely happy with my choice . I use this lens with a Pentax K1-II.

This is a very good lens for traveling. The zoom range allows for both wide-angle panoramas and close-ups on the go. At f8 - f11 apertures the sharpness is more than decent so it's basically a day lens, although on a tripod by night or when using a ND filter it also delivers. For the money it costs and comparing it to other pentax zoom lenses alternatives this is a very good buy. @carlosacostaphotography
