Bought this to replace a Tamron 18-200. Thought the Pentax lens, with less range, would be sharper than the Tamron. It isnt. That doesnt mean its bad, just not sharper than a $200 aftermarket lens. However it is WR and has a quick focus ring, so thats better, but Im still using my Tamron most of the time.

Purchased this lens in december 2016 and attached it to a K50. Photos are extremely sharp (had to reduce the sharpness settings in the camera little bit). For everyone who wants to take highly detailed pictures within a moderate zoom range, I really recommend this lens. Thanks for reading.

It's the one lens to take with you for almost any occasion. Sharp, reasonably fast, very quiet operation, focus on objects from up close, weather resistant and reasonably priced. Very happy with my purchase.

I could not get a sharp picture with this lens, even though it was brand new. Out of the first 200 photos, I got probably 1 genuinely sharp photo. I was using Pentax k-1 camera mounted on a tripod. Both still-life and people portraits were generally less sharp than my iphone 1. In otherwords, my Iphone 5 took sharper photos. There are a lot of good of reviews, so hopefully it was just the this one lens.

Lorsque 'ai commencé la photo, je ne voulais pas investir trop d'argent dans l'achat d'objectifs. Après avoir acheter une lentille 17-70mm d'un autre fabricant, payer aussi cher que celle-ci à prix régulier, j'ai découvert qu'il n'y avait rien de parfait en ce bas monde. les qualités de l'une compensant pour les défauts de l'autre. Enfin, lorsque celle-ci est devenue à prix très réduit, l'équivalent du prix pour un article usagé, j'ai décidé de l'acheter. Et après plusieurs photos de jour et de soir, dans différentes situations j'ai pu constater la qualité de celle-ci. Bien sur il y a de la distorsion dans les coins, mais rien qu'on ne puisse corriger avec le logiciel photo. De plus elle est à l'abris des intempéries. Alors très bon rapport qualité/prix pour cet article.
